The wedding is over, but the battle for the bouquet has just begun!
Marriage Material is a fast paced, PG-13 card game where players take on one of eight personas, each with particular objectives, all vying to be in the right position when the bouquet finally comes within reach. Enjoy such characters as:
- The Crazy Relative – Who counts as two Characters when someone is trying to move past them.
- Drunk Girl – Who has to move to the Bar and acquire an Alcohol card prior to catching the bouquet.
- The Single Parent – They can deploy one Screaming Kid card per turn, which can push the line of Characters to their advantage.
- The Crasher – When repositioning themselves, they get to move an extra space.
- The Spoiler – They want to ruin the wedding by having the bouquet land, uncaught. But they have to be careful they aren’t maneuvered to catch it themselves!
- The Serial Datist – They name a Character at the start of the game, and have to maneuver themselves next to that Character when they catch the bouquet, aka “How you doin’?”
Each player has a hand of Action cards that can either change the position of a Character, or move the bouquet position, adjust the height of the bouquet, or Trip a character such that they cannot catch that round. They can either play strategically, Passing their turn and saving their cards for a subsequent round, or be the agent of chaos and see who fortune smiles upon.
